1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Rentoria, the remote recording service operated by I&U Smart Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Rentoria, you agree to these terms. If you use Rentoria for an organization, you confirm that you can agree on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. Provide accurate account information and protect access to your sign-in provider and session links. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Guests must also follow these terms when joining sessions.
3. Recording and participant consent
You are responsible for obtaining all permissions and consents required to record, transcribe, process with AI, broadcast, or share a session. Tell participants what will be recorded, which optional features you enable, and how you will use or distribute the result. A recording indicator does not replace consent required by law.
Only upload or record material you have permission to use. Hosts control sessions and may download or distribute recordings; do not join or share sensitive information if you do not agree with the host’s use.
4. Your content and our service
You retain your rights in the content you provide. You grant I&U Smart Tech LLC permission to host, copy, transmit, process, and deliver that content as needed to operate Rentoria and provide the features you request. This permission does not transfer ownership of your recordings to us.
Rentoria’s software, branding, and service materials belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited right to use the service under these terms, not ownership of the software or brand.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Rentoria for unlawful recording, infringement, harassment, exploitation, fraud, or impersonation. Do not upload malicious code, probe or bypass access controls, access another person’s private content, disrupt the service, evade plan limits, or misuse third-party services connected to Rentoria.
6. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through our payment provider at the price, currency, interval, and taxes shown at checkout. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You authorize recurring charges for your selected plan.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing page in your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; check the confirmation for the effective date. Upgrade charges, credits, and any proration are shown in the payment flow. Unused time is not automatically refunded unless required by law or expressly offered. Mandatory refund and withdrawal rights are unaffected.
Plan features and limits are shown on the pricing and billing pages. We will give notice of material subscription changes before they apply, and you may cancel before a renewal at a changed price.
7. Storage and availability
Rentoria is a recording tool, not a permanent archive. Cloud downloads expire according to your plan. Changes to your plan can affect retention and access. Download recordings you want to keep before they expire and maintain independent backups.
Recording quality depends on your hardware, browser, permissions, and other conditions. Uploads, backups, and processing may be delayed or fail. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or recovery of every recording. Session records and billing information may remain after recording files expire, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Optional AI and third-party features
Optional AI features send the inputs needed for the requested function to external providers. AI output can be inaccurate, non-unique, or unsuitable; review it and confirm rights before using or publishing it. Do not submit information you lack permission to share. Third-party authentication, payments, streaming destinations, and connected services may also have their own terms.
9. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Rentoria at any time; stopping use does not itself cancel recurring billing. We may restrict or suspend access for violations, nonpayment, security risks, or legal requirements. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Obligations concerning outstanding payments and rights that by their nature survive termination continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Rentoria is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, except for its conflict-of-law rules. If the laws where you live provide mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring a claim locally, those protections and rights remain available to you.
12. Privacy and changes to these terms
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
